Hello, my name is Sandra. I am a local artist in the North East (England) I have a Husky called Logan. He is my first but not my last. I want to know more about raw feeding. I have read a little on the B.A.R.F diet but I am unsure what to feed and how much. The site I have visited prior to this one is generally for all breeds. I would really like advice from Husky owners.
I am a member of a local Husky club and we meet up once a week to run or walk our dogs in a pack. The group also do a lot of fund raising for Huskies in Need. Some of the group members feed their dogs raw, but also feed ki**le. I know this is frowned upon.
I really would like some advice on the matter.

Welcome to the forum Sandra. :)
You're very lucky to be able to go on group walks, we've had no luck with that in our area.
It's nice to hear that you're raising money for Huskies in Need, a very worthy cause.
Have a good read through the Raw Feeding threads and it will soon become clear that no ki**le is required and isn't good for your Husky at all. You'll also see that there is no point feeding as per the BARF method, a lot of what's in that diet serves no nutritional purpose whatsoever.
Look forward to chatting.

Hello Sandra, i will second what Steve said, neither ki**le or BARF is species appropriate anf therefore includes a lot of ingredients that are of no benefit to a carnivore ie wheat, grain vegetables and supplements. Have a read through the forum and you should get the information your after, if you want anymore help just shout :) Its very simple to begin feeding prey model raw and will be the best suited diet for Logan

Hey welcome to the forum from a fellow artist and art teacher lol.
I am also north east, not too far from Bridlington.
Your in the best place for raw feeding questions and information, there are lots of posts about it and if you get stuck just ask.
I am fostering a dog at the moment for Huskies In Need, she is called Mabes.
Lovely to see you on here.
