hi im joanna and my partner came home with a huskamute just over a week ago and wanted to find out more about the breed as most sites only tell you bout the pure bred malamutes and huskies and got no info about the cross. any info would be appreciated as i like know everything i can on best ways to train them, when offlead with children and other pets etc and would like to hear personal experiences rather than just 1 person reviews

Hello Joanna.
Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy it here as much as everyone else does.
You have come to the right forum for advice on Huskamutes one of our staff runs Huskamute Help which is the only rehoming service purely for Huskamutes.
Please post any questions that you may have in the relevant sections and anyone who owns a Huskamute will answer them.
They are not dissimilar to Huskies so any advice you see on this forum for Huskies will almost certainly be the same for Huskamutes.

hello joey :) to the fourm and family

if you have any questions about huskamutes then please feel free to post your questions and i will do my best to get back to you as soon as i can.

i have 2 huskamutes myself and they are the reason why other half started huskaute help in the first place.

my two husamutes are different bear he is pure white with blue eyes he is big softie, very clever and most of all a big grump

kato he is black and white with bi-eyes he is also a big softie but kato is so thick its funny :)

it dont matter what sort of breed of dog you have its about what sort of owner you are to the way your dog is

EG: my dog is going loopy round the house all the time and chewing its doing my head i dont know what to do?
my answer: how offen or when was the last time your dog had a good walk
EG: i dont know i gave him a a quick 5 min walk about a week ago or more
my answer : well its simple then walk your dog every day so it burns of all that energy then your dog will calm down.

two weeks later EG: thank you so much he is a changed dog now.

i hope you enjoy the forum and like paul said if you need any help just post it and i or someone will get back to you as soon as
